The Chaturang Quartet

Chaturang, which means “Four Dimensions”, is a quartet led by Samarth Nagarkar.

This ensemble consists of voice, sitar, flute and tabla. Sarangi, violin or sarod may sometimes replace these instruments, depending on the theme and narrative of the concert. This ensemble weaves a unique tapestry of sounds drawing from instrumental and voice techniques and traditions.

The ensemble performs 4-5 short-form raga rendition in two 45-60 minute sets.
